Norwich, NY
2nd Annual Autism Awareness Walk
Little Joshua, Robert, Caleb, and Christina lead the walk
as it begins from the Norwich High School
As the walk begins Caleb and Joshua's proud Grandma
displays her sign alongside the boy's aunt Linda
Turning the corner and making their way up Hale Street in the city it's on to the Park!
Caleb and Joshua join in the walk. Both boys battle with autism, an epidemic that once was diagnosed in only 1 in 10,000 children in America, but now has risen to 1 in 110! Every 20 minutes in the U.S. a child is diagnosed with autism.
The length of the line seen here is a testament to the many
who walked in support of Autism Awareness. Many of those
who walked also have children diagnosed on the autism spectrum
People from all walks of life and from as far away as the
state of Georgia came to walk in support of Autism Awareness!
** Caleb's Eyes.com and Christina and Robert Hendrickson would like to thank Frontier Communications, Repair Squad, Price Chopper and all those individuals who donated to the cause of Autism Awareness. Thanks also to the many people who gave of their time in helping to make this walk and rally possible!
** All proceeds from the walk were donated to the Anemarie Wenk Resource Fund through the Family Resource Network, 46 Oneida Street, Oneonta, NY 13820.** Anyone wishing to donate to the cause of Autism Awareness can contact the Family Resource Network at 607-432-0001 or toll-free at 1-800-305-8816.
Caleb's Eyes.com will continue to hold annual walks and rallies in an effort to raise autism awareness until the cause and cure for autism is found! We'll see you all again next year!
